Good Morning

May only blessings

Reach you,

May you be protected

From any negativity

Or anxiety reaching you.

May only the best wishes

And healing, empowering

Thoughts and wishes

Reach you today and

Always🌸
Good Day

Good Morning, Good Day!

Fingers crossed!
As you seek your purpose,
May your path be clear.

As you seek your health,
May the healer be here.

As you seek more wisdom,
May the preacher reach near.

May all that you seek,
Seek you too.
May you have a day full of mutual moments.

Good Luck!

As if

Be present now.
As if
No future awaits.

Learn new now.
As if
No second chance avails.

Smile and laugh now
As if
No joy forever stays.

Accept others now
As if
No one meets again.

Calmly breathe in now
As if
No guarantee
Of the next breath prevails.

Live now,
Love now,
Let go now.

Happy Birthday Sister!

Happy 47th. You look as young as your heart is!
Sisters are so precious,

Indeed a lifetime gift,

They support and help you,

Whenever you falter or fall,

With their help

Back to your balance

You shift,

They help you lift.

You have been the best

With you I have woven

A lifetime of delights:

Outings,feastings,

And arguments;

All we did we loved

and let go the rest.

You brought light

To our lives

Rumjhum is our pride,

Your smile she wears,

Pearly teeth and wide.

May our journeys together

With ups and downs

Smiles and frowns

Become greater and better

As we love and we nurture

Each other forever and

Forever.
My forever New year gifts: my sisters, both born in January!

Sweetness

Thoughts rush
Helter skelter
In my mind.

Some moments
They remind
Some memories
They rewind.

The only wisdom is
In being kind.

A little sweetness
In words and deeds,
With love does
Hearts and souls
Forever bind.

Don't live your life bitterly.
Lead your life sweetly.

Trust

Trust your capabilities
Trust.
The only thing worth having,
Towards God.
Trust God.

Trust.
The only thing worth winning,
From others.
Win trust of others.

Trust.
The only thing worth holding onto,
In life.
Trust your journey.

Trust.
The only thing worth believing in,
Oneself.
Trust your capabilities.

Trust those who truly care and stand by you through thick and thin.

Move

May your thoughts
Fly high,
Dare to imagine,
While your words
Stay rooted,
Committed to truth,
And be transformed
Into proud, noteworthy accomplishments.

May you adhere to values,
While you soar higher,
With vigor and rigor.

May your choices
Bring the very best,
As you move into 2023,
With zeal and zest.

A new start

Adversities are inescapable but resilience and patience see you through.
What 2022 brought or what it took away, is the past.
Few moments today decide how you'll spend December, reflecting on your newfound strengths or your self-realised wisdom.

May each day bring more power to you. More wisdom to you. More hope to you. May more of all the better Life offers, be yours.

A new start
A beginning
Of a new venture
Or a new routine
Or a new belief.

The power of New.
The power of Now.

Keep thoughts simple

Today, make it a point to keep thoughts simple or creative. Focus on learning something new. Try not to indulge in analysing situations and people. Keep life simple. Enjoy the good weather, aspire for an attainable goal and set it for self-improvement, read on a totally new topic, increase creative activities and enjoy positivity.
For the simpler we keep our thoughts, the more receptive we are of the fresh, the new and the creative.
What is this life, if full of care

Thank you dearest Mother Earth

This Thanksgiving, Thank Our Planet

Thank the Earth, Truly!
Raise your awareness.
You can't love fish and litter the fresh water river,
Or throw plastic rubbish on a beach,
Or toss Coke cans in the sea.
Be mindful please.

Live honestly.
You can't love music
And honk unnecessarily:
Noise creates stress,
Don't forget so easily.
Be mindful please.

Think deeply.
You can't claim to love birds and the skies,
And waste electricity, cut trees, pollute the air and abuse carbon energy.
Be mindful please.

Live frugally.
You can't heed to greed,
Shop till you clutter,
Waste resources
For your fancy and whim;
Help to keep the air
Pure and clean
To breathe in:
It's our survival,
Our need.

Thank the planet
In every choice you make,
Protect the environment,
In every action you take.

Do thank each creation,
That supports & sustains
Our life cycle,
Bees or trees,
Small or big.

Thank every living being,
Choose to go green,
Choose our well-being,
On this day of Thanksgiving.

Plant more trees🌿🌱🌴🌵

Half

That bottle
of half-drunk water,
Some sipped,
Some saved
For later,
So like our wishes,
Some pursued,
Some hidden,
Just to be mused.

52nd National Day of Oman

Happy 52nd National Day
Oman, the land of peace.
Oman, the land of beauty.
Oman, the land of wisdom.

Oman, the stretch of oceans.
Oman, the home of mountains.

Oman, the address
Of an aquamarine oasis.

Oman, the essence
Of silence and quietude.

Oman, the beauty
Of grace and gratitude.

Oman,
Where whispers
Of the waves,
Create music
In every heart,

Oman,
A glimpse of paradise,
Oman,
A class apart.
Oman inspires.

Mountains of Muscat

For the love of the mountains
Today there is a rare

And unusual clarity

In the skies

and one can see

The faint outline

Of the highest peak.

May our minds

Always have such clarity

And may we be granted

And blessed such visions

That guide us

Into the unknown

With calmness

And divine sublimity.

Good Morning World!

Happy Children’s day India!

A poem for kids:

'My Train Journey'
'My Train Journey'
My train journey
Was just lovely,
I met kids
Who were funny,
We laughed a lot
At each station
Hot snacks we bought.

Chhuk chhuk
Chhuk chhuk
Chug chug
Chug chug
Went the train,
The rhythm felt
Like a refrain.

I know not when
A thug came
A thief he was,
Who stole a pack
Of my croissant plain;
I thought to complain,
But my train started
So it would go in vain.

Chhuk chhuk,
Chhuk chhuk,
Chug chug,
Chug chug,
Went the train,
The rhythm felt
Like a refrain.

I watched peacocks
I think I saw a fox,
I now closely guarded
My chocolate box.

And all the while
As the train sped
Mile after mile,
Thinking of Granny
My face had a smile.

Chhuk chhuk
Chhuk chhuk
Chug chug
Chug chug
Went the train,
The rhythm felt
Like a refrain.

I slept off then,
And didn't know when
My station came!
As I heard the name
Mumbai CST announced,
I rushed at the door,
And almost fell
On the station floor!

Thank God on board
I was travelling light,
Quickly Grand Pa held me,
And hugged me tight.
Chhuk chhuk chhuk chhuk,
chug chug chug chug

Nothing is truer

Over thinking, over perfecting, over analysing are stoppers. Un-stop yourself
Nothing is truer

Nothing is truer,
Than the truth
That we stop ourselves
From doing more
And doing better.

Nothing is truer,
Than the truth
That we fear
Our own light,
Our own power.

Nothing is truer
Than the truth
That we think small
And dream smaller,
And do the smallest.

Nothing is truer
Than the truth
That we abandoned
A great idea within,
For fear of failure,
And gave up,
Instead of taking
A calculated risk.

This world
That we hold
The power to better,
Why do we fear?
Un-box your fear. Un-box your self limiting beliefs. Rise up to risk. Rise up to challenge.

Into November

Into November,

We stumble,

October's over

End of 2022's in sight,

So let's reflect on

The wishes we lost

Saying, I 'may' and 'might'.

Let's make up our mind,

Life doesn't come

With a button to rewind,

To yourself do remind,

Don't mull too long,

Write your story,

Hum your song.

Overcoming hesitation

Mention it, just say!
Say it,

Feel the release.

Hesitation is good,

It guides us instinctively,
We think well,
We 'maybe' and 'could'.

But, don't let an idea
Original and creative,
Be lost, left unsaid.

Today, reflect quietly,
Reframe, reword
If you may,
But let it out-
Just say!
Yours could be the next best idea the world needs!

Round the corner

You may feel low,

You may have had a blow,

But dwell in hope,

You'll surely cope,

Just round the corner,

There's dawn again and light,

There's sweet delight.

Diwali's the highlight.

Declutter and decorate,

Goodness let's opt for

Each and everyday,

Kindness let's celebrate.

In each and every way.

Diwali is a festival

Of lighting diyas,

To drive away darkness,

Not just of the Amaavas,

But also the despair

And focus on inspiring

Others and ourself,

Spread love and light,

Share wisdom, show care.

A few

Wishing you a berry good morning🍓🍒
I wish you
Pleasant moments
More than just a few.

I wish you
A lovely surprise,
So you feel all 'oooh'!

I wish you
Awesome memory-making
Dashed with laughter too.

Go, get your chai
Or go coffee brew,
Greet the lovely day
Ahead of you,
All fresh and new!
Cock a doodle doooo🐓🐔 Happy healthy Morning to you!

HAPPY OMANI WOMEN’S DAY

Happy Women's Day!
We celebrate being us,
We balance rules,
That are just,
We draw the boundaries,
With mutual trust.

May a lady never be
Too eager to please,
Or forced to live
In dread or fear,
Cry alone or hide a tear.

It's 2022,
She's talented too;
Free to choose,
What to do.

It fills the heart
With hope and joy
To see Omani women
In every field lead,
She may or may not
Choose to cook,
To stay home and clean
She's free and does
What she feels like,
She is free to choose,
It's her life.

She may become a leader,
Researcher or Engineer,
Or a happy home maker,
Do both maybe,
Niether in extreme.
It's her choice,
Whatever her dream.

Today let's celebrate,
Insist she shows
Some self love,
Enjoys a good treat,
Or shops
Some lovely jewellery,
A new dress, or
A brand new Lamborghini;
Or may all she does need
Is Me-time by the beach,
Or a yoga retreat.

If you care for her,
Show true respect
And smile and say OK,
Let her disagree on views,
Let her choose to refuse.

She can grow in many ways
The list is endless,
Its her only life,
She must live it
Happily,regret less,
Be treated like a queen,
Wear her crown
And follow her dream.

Completing 49 years

Thank you Life for 49 13 Octobers
Is aging chronological

Or spiral?

Aging is random,
In moments few,
Our mental age grew.

Is aging greying
Or growing?
It is both for some,
Making use of this privilege is true understanding.

Is aging resting

Your case,

Or resisting?

Aging is building a case

Singular, exceptional
and then resting:
For posterity, be inspiring.

Is aging sweetening
Or embittering?

Aging is a little of all,
Like so many shades
Of a shedding
Maple leaf at Fall.

Aging is choosing

To remain affectionate,

Yet to be detached,

From life's disarray,

Messy at times,

But that's life, anyway.

Aging is being

And becoming

More inwardly beautiful,

And outwardly

Silently observing,

And wisdom-gathering,

Aging is a chance for

Telling tales more,

Half stories uttering,

In whispers, in words,

Musical and gentle,

Coloured with meaning,

Aging is poem-ing

In rhythm and rhymes,

Like the morning chimes.

One more 13th October
I am blessed to see
I thank my Papa and Mummy
Always in deep gratitude for my most supportive mother.
Aging is reliving random memories

Happy Birthday!

Our niece!
You rule our hearts naturally, You are our dearly,
You smile so graciously, You breathe so gently,
You speak so softly,
You move so delicately,
You are our Princess lovely, Each day may you live happily,
In every way remain blessed lovingly,
Now and for multiple decades to come,
You remain our precious, niece, our only one!
Dr.Rumjhum

Daily

Travel light in this journey of life.
Days pass by
Life goes on.

What seems most important now, in retrospect, may or may not be of that much essence, that much consequence.
For every 'most important thing' there is an option.
Train your mind to dwell on Option B as seriously as Option A.

Musts and shoulds also need to be let gone.

Every moment is a new day a new way to approach and think, say, do and live better than the last.
Keep life simple.

First day of October

October bring all that’s happier!
First day gone,
Will October bring
A joyful song to sing?

First day gone,
Will October bring
A new friend to ping?

First day gone,
Will October bring
A reason to keep smiling?

Meet OBE Maggie Jeans in the second episode of my talk show, JUST ONE MORE QUESTION.

Understanding Surrender

The usual understanding of surrender is feeling desperate, feeling helpless and giving up, and turning to a higher/superior power for resolution/help/ support/miracle.
To a great extent, this understanding of surrender is true for all of us.

But one can go deeper and understand that real and total surrender are at a different level.
After putting in every possible effort and failing and feeling helpless, due to any situation, circumstance or human behaviour, one has to go through the feelings of shock, disillusionment, helplessness, sorrow and acceptance of many things, such as, accepting that one is not in control of what life has in store, that nothing comes with guarantee, that one is not strong and powerful enough to overcome every setback; but most of all one then REALISES that seeking strength and bowing to a higher entity in peace, with a completely humbled heart, and a calm sort of detached disposition with being wiser of ALL human predicament, and turning to both faith and hope in some kind of divine intervention, is Surrender.

To be desperate, feel helpless, pray and plead and beg to the higher entity in the hour of sorrow or need is not actual surrender. That is mere desperation.

Actual, real surrender is total acceptance and wisdom of one's limitations and realisation that now only someone or something beyond the human realm can make a difference.

Understanding and realising the true essence of surrender truly is freeing ourself from misery, and believing that a kind, higher energy is at work, that may ease things if you let go and keep faith and hope and move inwards in peace and prayer, connecting with that higher realm of energy.

Navratri

NAVRATRI FESTIVAL
These festive times
Called Navratri,
The nine days signify,
The many ways,
We symbolise and glorify,
The energy and strengths,
Of the Feminine.

Goddess in her Avatars,
Worshipped for her
Virtues and kindness,
With gulaal and flowers.

We pray earnestly
To this Mother Divine,
May she bless us all,
and protect us all.

We seek her forgiveness,
Her favours and grace,
As we sing and dance,
In her glory and praise,
And celebrate the Divine
On these nights nine.
Amba Mata ki Jai

At work…

Nourish your work!
Work calmly,
Communicate clearly,
Smile widely,
Listen keenly,
Support others sincerely,
Learn quietly,
Speak truthfully.

Be your best version,
Love your profession!
Love what you do,
it feels truly satisfying

For some of us

May their soul rest in eternal peace
For some of us

From this day, today,

This world will never be

The same again.

A few words unsaid,

A few tears unshed,

Will forever remain.

For some of us now on,

A hollow feeling,

An emptiness,

A sense of loss,

A long, quiet silence,

Will forever remain.

This world will never be

The same again.

To those 'some of us'

Whose hearts have broken,

I say, let us bid

Our final farewell,

To the dear departed,

Who now lies in peace

Rises to God,

No longer in pain.

Without them,

Our world will never be

The same again,

As they left quietly,

On the final journey

Rising to Paradise,

Welcomed by eternity-

Leaving with us,

Pure, precious values,

And pearls of wisdom,

And unforgettable

Moments and memories.

To those 'some of us'

Inconsolable, tearful,

Today in this unfamiliar

'Never the same again'

Wide wide world,

Those 'some of us'

Feel their absence in

This familiar homeland,

As they try their grief

To stoically withstand,

I too, with them, stand,

And pray that always

God holds their hand.

Make today awesome

Today,in all you do,
Add a little bit
Of glitter,
Add a little bit
Of glamour,
Add a little bit
Of grit.

In every act today,
Be the hand of God,
And however mundane
Be your task,
It's upto you
To add a little zest
And make better or best.

Life is a short trip,
Whatever you do,
Do it whole heartedly,
Like an act of worship.
Good Morning!

What matters

What someone said, hurt.
It mattered, it hurt.
Its over.
Focus not what they said,
But how you felt.

How you feel determines your emotional well being.
So choose to be emotionally resilient by being flexible. Everytime you hurt, make a conscious move to come out of that experience. You may start singing or reading a joke and laughing or simply taking a very long walk, and sorting out your thoughts and releasing the slightest discomfort brought about by someone else's toxicity that hurt you within. Overcome this and flex your emotions. Meeting mean persons or having bad experiences is inevitable. But overcoming your sadness and pain is upto you and you alone. Love yourself enough.

You shall OVERCOME!

Adieu, Dear Queen

Long lived the Queen
Seventy years

Of Queening,

Through

The terrific,

The tumultuous,

And the tragic.

Choosing Grace

And trusting God,

She rose to the call of duty,

An epitome of elegance

Who redefined monarchy.

May her soul rest

In eternal peace,

As we bid adieu,

And deeply condole

Her kith and kin,

How do we get used to,

Of Great Britain,

Sans the Queen?
May her blessings shower upon the Royal family.

Have a better day than yesterday!

Choose better.
Choose well.

Choose
Silence not arguing.
Choose
Hope not worrying.
Choose
Activities not idling.
Choose
Learning not lazing.

Choose better,
Right now,
Not later!

Choose better today

Happy Teacher’s Day

Should I thank you life?
Should I thank you Life,
For what you have taught me?
It is irreversible and unforgettable.
You give no second chance
There is no time
For a backward glance.

You have set
The toughest lessons
And sudden twists
And unexpected turns
And all this
On slippery and steep pathways,
With no promises of getaways.

You give no hint
Of the next test
So brutal are your methods of teaching,
So Life, tell me
How do I thank you,
For being my ruthless,
Ultimate Guru?

The answer-less questions of life

Good morning

Pray more
Today and everyday
As we pray,
For our near and dear,
Let us include
And pray too
For all humans
Far and distant,
Who are in pain,
And may respite gain.
May they heal for sure,
Let's wish all will cure,
From our heart,
Prayerful, kind and pure.

Good Morning!
May you hold
Gratitude for all
You are blessed with.
Join your hands…to pray with loving kindness🙏😇

Jai Ganesh Deva

Ganpati Bappa Maurya!
Lord Ganesha you lead
Our beginnings,
Make our path
Obstacle-free,
Your names are thousand,
Ekdant, Aniket
Vignesh or Vinayak,
You love laadoo and modak
And ride the mushak,
We bow unto you and seek
Protection and good luck.

You are our beloved,
Our most worshipped,
To you we belong,
Bless us to choose
Right over wrong.

Make our Vivek-buddhi
Sharp and strong,
As every step we take,
Our path problem-free
We pray you make.

Grant us a future bright,
On our destiny
'Shubh' and 'Mangal'
Please do write.

Please protect us,
Be by our side,
Bestow us success
In every stride.
Shower us
With prosperity,
Joy and delight.

In our heart and soul
Your Murat and bhakti
We forever enshrine,
As we sing Aarti,
Grant us blessings
And your Darshan Divine.
The image/idol represents symbols and helps retain the ancient wisdom in public memory down the ages

Come, September

Experience the shades of your emotions. Keep them light or bright.
Come September,
Like a dry leaf
Shake off
Everyone's grief.

Come September,
Make life better,
Help everyone shrug,
Each big and small grudge

Come September,
Help all remember,
You precede October,
And the last quarter,
Of this year,
And it's time
To acknowledge
That in the Fall,
Nature let's go
All dried and old,
Bares itself to the cold

Likewise, September,
Let everyone's heart Begin to clear,
Of worry and fear,
Of a frown or a hidden tear
And await calmly
The end of the year.
Turn over a new leaf…

What upsets a person?

Teach yourself to adjust your thinking. Have minimal expectations. Be flexible in expecting the unexpected.
We are upset and disturbed many a times.
Who upsets us?
Obvious answer is people around us.
But is it the right answer?
Nope.
Our expectations, when not met, upset us.

So if we want to remain calm and peaceful, what should we observe? What should we change?

Our expectations and our company.

Expect less or nothing and genuine people will surprise you. Bond more with those who share strong values and ethics.

Move away from toxic, selfish, greedy opportunists, using silence and detachment. Send them light and forgiveness as you detach.

Your peace and calm are your choice.
Your expectations are your choice.
Our life is our breath. Do breathing exercises to calm your chatter-ful mind.

Kanhaa Poem

The Kanhaa Poem: 1
By Amita J Sanghavi.
19/8/2022.

Krishna, krishna!

Heading straight

To the Haveli,

We stop at the phoolwala

And his tokri,

Our steps halt

As we bend,

Flowers to the soul,

Bliss lend:

The moment

Of spotting fresh blooms,

Mogra and Prajakta,

Bringing a bright glow

On our face and our heart,

We bend to touch the petals,

And the softness

In the Marigold garlands,

How we love to hold!

And now hurry to visit

Krishna in the temple,

Inhaling incense,

Lotus scented agarbatti

Lighting lamps for real,

Chanting aarti in chorus,

As we drape blooms

Around His neck,

And join our hands,

Overwhelmed

With real Darshan

In our 'ami'-filled eyes,

As our blue Kanhaa

We behold,

The maakhan chor,

And His mesmerising,

Mischievous muskaan

Forever heart-held,

Come let’s celebrate,

The birth of

Our Divine consciousness

On Krishna we focus,

Govind Hari, Gopal Hari,

We chant in chorus,

His feet,

The ultimate Sharan

For us.

Question not

Question not

The past,

Or the future.

Answer not,

The present.

Let mysterious moments

Mix and make

A mojito of memories.
Life filled with a dash of lemony zest is the best

Happy 76th Independence Day!

असतो मा साद गमय, तमसो मा ज्योतिर् गमय, मृत्योर मा अमृतम् गमय

Lead us from ignorance to truth, Lead us from darkness to light, Lead us from death to deathlessness.
May our country

Treasure every tree,

May our nation,

Enlightened by logic be,

And thrive with hope,

In adversities,

Resolutely cope.

May my India,

Like the Charkhaa,

Keep moving,

Awakened,

24 by 7,

And bring to earth

A glimpse of heaven,

And be a blessing,

To all the Living.

Jai Hind

The unexpected

Moments unexpected,
Make memories strong,
That haunt us long.

Some make us,
Some shake us,
Some form a sweet song,
Some form tears lifelong.

Moments unexpected,
Make memories strong,
That haunt us long.
Memories…of the unexpected

What do we really own?

Our thoughts
Our words
Our actions
Our voice
Our decisions
Our feelings
Our body
Our mistakes
Our heart
Our soul
Our talent
Our efforts
Our wishes
Our Voice

Nothing else.

Ponder on this.

As evening arrives…

Choose to visualise rainbows
May you silent the noises of worry and stress and fear. May you find your peace as you use words of hope and thoughts of love. May the mind retain and recall your favourite music, your favourite songs, your favourite flavours and beautiful memories.
May your heart be filled with contentment and courage.
Ensure the mind sees the silver lining

Wonder why

The squirrel seems
Less playful,
The wind seems
Much heavier,
The sun seems
Much distant,
The laughter seems
Much hollower,
The chat seems
Much mundane,
The debate seems
Much effort,
The meal seems
Much familiar,
The water seems
Much nauseous,
The heart seems
Much numb,
The mind seems
Much dumb.
It's one of those days,
Only music seems
Mystical, magical,
Music has it's healing ways.

July

July
The rain clouds,
Bring relief,
To the lands,
Thirsty and dry;
It's July.

Nature seems to ask not
When, what, who, where,
And why:
Some places flood,
In July,
Some are too parched,
Still very dry.

Clouds and life,
Both are so random,
Dear July,
Please put everything,
Back in tandem.
