Chai, chai!

Choose to erase

The negativity.

Choose to erase

The frown,

The doubt,

The grudge.

The clocks tick

Real quick,

Let go the hurt,

Choose responses

Silent or sweet

But not curt.

Though thorns do prick,

Choose not to cling too

Long to wounds and lick.

With each sip of chai,

Just one by one overwrite

All negative memories,

Recall moments light,

Jovial and bright.

Choose to overcome,

Pain, pettiness, plight

Choose cheer and delight.

Choose to add

A dash of your 'awesome',

Accept life's cup of tea

As it does come,

Chinni kabhi zyada,

Kabhi kamm.

Chinni* sugar
Kabhi* sometimes
Zyada* more
Kamm* less
With each sip of Chai, Say to yourself I aim high!
Chai ke saath biscuit ho jaaye,
Life mein aapke, chinni gul jaaye!

Safed Jambu tree

Love apples, Safed Jambus
You stood below
Ready to catch
The jambus
I would throw.

I climbed up
Branch to branch,
Tried to pluck the jambus
You spotted and told me
To reach out
With the sticks
We tried to tie
Together by and by.

Those hidden in between
The lush green leaves,
The jumbo white jambus
Were our absolute treat!

A fresh fruit so simple
Brought a dimple,
With your pretty smile,
As we took no while,
To munch into
A huge juicy bite
Relishing it quite.

The moment felt so right,
A venture unplanned,
Our afternoon filled
With masti and delight,
Fun in bright sunlight,
Feeling excited galore,
Plucking fruit more.

A sense of accomplishment
We felt so content,
A fun day wherein,
Our wishes fulfilled💚.

I remember so clear,
Our girlish might,
Our sheer cheer,
As you caught
The jambus white
In your palms safe,
Without a scratch,
Wow I would say,
'What a catch!'
As though we played
In a cricket match!

The fresh lingering taste
Of the safed jambu,
A tree laden with fruit,
Within its shade,
We too grew.

My dearest sister,
My naughty accomplice
In our days of childhood,
Romping and climbing
Our great exercise,
These moments of picking fruit,
In my memories I salute!

As years passed by,
We chased work,climbed
The ladder of success,
We now fondly cherish
White jambus' tree,
We so much love,
Since our days carefree!

The tree stands tall, jamoons now unplucked, just fall

GUESS, GUESS, GUESS!

I was just wondering…

Please, can you pass the nut back to me or throw it on this side?
It slipped and its mine.

I could jump but you know trespassers' rules?
I do respect and abide.

🤣🤣🤣

Start the day with a smile.
Life is good.

Surprise! Enjoy…
