Halt a moment,Stop! Save a child,Listen to the lament,Life for love is meant,Rise above discontent,Revise your intent,And choose to be,The One to helpTo nurture and care, And let each of usTo the ‘other’Be truly’God-sent’.

Reflect calmly to find your balance
Meditate to findThe balanceBe mindfulOf how you feelKeep your mind Very still.Meditate to de-stress,To worries release,To realign,Receive peaceAnd reconnectWith the Divine.
Draw the line.
Life is not about just having. Life is more about living. Life is more about experiencing rather than accumulating. Money is no doubt very essential for enabling empowerment. There are no two things about it. But to live less in order to earn more and just have more at the cost of too much stressContinue reading “Draw the line.”
One day at a time
When in life,There’s no rhythmThere’s no rhymeNo laughters chime,A tear glistensYou can’t even sigh,Your breath feels muffledEach time you inhaledIt felt like an effortAnd you struggled,At that juncture,When every nerveYou feel will rupture,Just be in silent pleaReally pray to the Divineand sense the silenceAnd hear the quiet,Say to self,One day, at a time.
The tabula rasa state of mind
I love my mind,In the ‘tabula rasa’state.I like it:My ‘re-energise’ phase,From ‘doing’ to just ‘being’. I reflect, read more. I love my mind,Uncrowded, on ‘rewind’I refill the soul, the heart, the mind.Reading other’s voicesand fresh new words,I imagine meFly high Like a bird,To a new world. It is essentialTo be vacant, A pre requisite ToContinue reading “The tabula rasa state of mind”
Declutter
The disarrayThe discontentThe disturbanceThe depressionAll lie deep within.Silently peep inAnd seek the sunkenHeavy momentsAnd beckon Half-buried memories,This heap of ‘hurts’Lift one by one,And gently release, Just let them go.Emptied of theseFeel free,Feel light,Declutter and cleanse,Find peace immense.

The way to goWhen you knowNothingThe way to goWhen you feelEmptyThe way to goWhen you justDo not knowThe way to goWhen words failAnd tears dryThe way to goIn such a timeIs to Surrender. To silently stayNot ponder just pray.Pray if not in words Prayed before or pre written, But just pray That a ray reachesThe darkContinue reading “Surrender”
A day comes
A day comesWhen what mattered,You must let go.You just know,You give up.It is the day You are justa little less aliveBut you survive.Like the cat’s last lonely walkaround the street,In extreme heat.Losing hope,To find a biteTo chew, to eat. Both you and the catSo much alike,Until next dawn,Both just survive. Will the catWithout the hat,Not named Tom,NorContinue reading “A day comes”

Pause. Ponder. Lift yourself higher.
Getting older is inevitable. But growing older is slightly different, because when you grow older, you don’t lose the sense of humor, the ability to wonder, feel the curiosity and the sense of enthusiasm as well as the sense of marvel. Are you growing older or getting old? It is a decision. Your decision. Isn’tContinue reading “Pause. Ponder. Lift yourself higher.”
Thank you Michelle, for being so YOU
We slip into despair- into tears, into fire, into deep ocean. And a Youtube video Reaches. Michelle’s reminder falls into our soul Like sundrops Helps us gather ourself, Lifts us, shifts us We watch bygones, Like a dead, Dried leaf strewn, Breezes away from the Tree, May we release dry Dis-serving thoughts Free.

Mommy muses…
On the purple couchShe does belong,And she sings along,Between numbers divine-Ruth B’s ‘Lost boy’ She plays again,And humming Trampoline,By amazing Shaed and Zayn,My princess shifts,In the next moment,Taylor Swift’sMelody drifts. Outdoors, the VirusCovid 19 corpses pile,Indoors 24 by 7, Locked down we copeTo keep alive hope,Try home remedies so naive,Praying they do survive,Days elapsed moreContinue reading “Mommy muses…”

Please, can you pass the nut back to me or throw it on this side?It slipped and its mine.I could jump but you know trespassers’ rules?I do respect and abide.🤣🤣🤣Start the day with a smile. Life is good.
My Hinglish poem: Missing home
Missing the kuhu kuhu melodyOf the hidden Koyal among fresh mango leaves,The squirrels running bindaas on the nariyal trees,The squeaky groan of the overloaded rusty swing never kid-free, The temple bells’ reassuring chime,The next-door school kids’In chorus sing everytime,The ‘rain, rain go away’ rhyme. The aromas from the kitchen stronger than any fancy appetizer,Recipes of monsoonsContinue reading “My Hinglish poem: Missing home”

Just close the gap
Between knowing and doing, Between promising and fulfilling, Between silence and expression, Between sharing and sparing, Between realising and accepting, Between hearing and listening, Between dreaming and performing, Between commiting and delivering: If there is a distance, A gap,Just close the gap.Just do it. That is integrity.Makes all the difference.
Books
At times A random read, At times, A re-read, At times A hasty skim, Or rush-read the end, Sometimes dog ear Page seventy-seven, At times read aloud, Sometimes I highlight, At times I underline Or I scribble A question mark, And sometimes I just sigh. At times in entirety, It stays within me Other timesContinue reading “Books”
Impressions and Expressions
IMPRESSIONS AND EXPRESSIONS: Everyday we reflect upon an experience And form an impression- think it through, and integrate it with our previous experiences and we express joy, fear, doubt or regret, or maybe a measure of nostalgia or even grief. Our expressions follow our mind That holds our impressions. To live a new day meansContinue reading “Impressions and Expressions”
The sounds of solitude
Memories jingle in the heart…images tease.
Me, A Tree
Stubborn optimism with common sense of following precaution protocols, being prayerful.
Against all odds, you can do it!
And then I wonder
It is almost 15 months since the pandemic. Life is on indefinite pause. I wonder how we will have changed when ‘life as we know it’ will begin. How many ways will we have changed, and for better or worse…
Shifting your thoughts
It has been a challenge and quite some watchfulness was required in becoming an observer of my thoughts and detaching from them and choosing which ones were unwelcome. But the effort has been worthwhile. I am sure with time, we can change the thoughts and see the extraordinary effect of the shift within and without!
Impressions
Our mind forms impressions, our Voice expresses them.
Writing my first post!
The extraordinary power of thought. It is amazing. Wayne Dyer writes about changing our thought and changing our life. Indeed. A subtle change in our outlook shifts us to higher vibes. Choose constructive, optimistic, thoughts of ‘possibilities’ rather than anything else. I am an individual who emphasizes on doing just a ‘little more’ and ‘doingContinue reading “Writing my first post!”
