When for no reason

Sometimes for no obvious   
Or explicable reason,
You may just feel
Your heart is heavier,

Your reflexes are slow.

Usually around this time,

You have faced,
A devastating setback.

The heart has not forgotten,
The mind has not overcome,
But you have moved on.

At such moments,
It helps to do Pranayam.
Meditate.
Be gentle with yourself.
Do some new artwork.
Read a new poem.
Smell the flowers.
Direct your attention
To chanting or prayers
And observe meditation.

Reward yourself
With care and compassion.
Instead of avoiding
The feeling, be with it.
Accept it.
Improve on self-preservation
And self-care.

This too shall pass.
Hope you have a good life ahead.

The world is at times
A bit topsy, a lot turvy,
For you or me
Or her or him,
The morning may seem,
A bit like
Coffee gone cold,
A bit like
A slightly burnt cookie,
That too without cream.

Your mood may seem low,
The sun may glare
And pale your glow,
Life may bring you,
Blow after blow.

If this be such a day,
I wish good luck
Comes your way,
Hope all the odds
You do overcome,
And find solutions,
Where there seemed none.

Having a meaningful purpose and clarity of what you want to do in your life journey or just accumulating belongings?

Shrouds have no pockets.

Having more is not living more.
What's better? Dwell on it.

Travel light in this journey of life.
Days pass by
Life goes on.

What seems most important now, in retrospect, may or may not be of that much essence, that much consequence.
For every 'most important thing' there is an option.
Train your mind to dwell on Option B as seriously as Option A.

Musts and shoulds also need to be let gone.

Every moment is a new day a new way to approach and think, say, do and live better than the last.
Keep life simple.

Re-think and relax about health

Walk down any hospital ward.
You will find patients of all shapes, sizes, ages with different maladies. A sportsperson has a spine surgery, so does an accident victim and so does a housewife bending to pick up toys - spine surgery when she has had a slip disc. A person who religiously did Yoga, went to the Gym, also ends up with cancer like an obese person who suffered genetic obesity or hormone imbalance. None of us can escape pain.

So, in the end, do reflect and rethink how far one ought to be obsessed with one's shape, size, diet and lifestyle?

Reflect on health in being accepting and content as well as realistic. Live life's each moment fully in how you enjoy little things, have fun, do some mischief, sing a song along, walk on the beach,and enjoy your midnight snack with a grin that is a mile long.

That is NOT to say do not care or be mindful of your diet and exercise.Please DO CARE.


This is to say, do NOT be obsessed and fret about it.
Have your Que sera sera moments and follow your heart.

At times, its ok to leave alone some issues for time to mend, its ok to accept life with all its discomforts- physical, mental and emotional.You have to choose your battles.You need to tred light on your own heart.

Sit with your heartache.
Sit with your sadness. Feel your feelings.
Grow closer to yourSELF.

Breathe.

And then, hum-que sera sera, whatever will be, will be, the future's not ours to see.
Breathe. Just be.

The Quality of Patience

Nothing can be built in a day.
Not an individual's character, neither careers, nor businesses, nor lives, neither cities, nor countries.


Nothing can be built in a haste.
Not a home, nor a design, a device, not a game, nor a song or a tele-series.


Nothing can be learnt in a day. Not a subject discipline, nor playing music, nor a sport, neither a language, nor a skill.


Nothing can be grown in a day. Not a tree, nor trust, neither a human bond, neither a field of corn, neither resources, nor savings, nor money.

Nothing heals in an instant. Not a broken heart, nor a sour relation, nor a torn ligament.

The current trend of 'instant' is detrimental in many ways. 'Instant' social media, instant 'messaging', instant photography, instant selfies-sharing, instant buying, instant unhealthy food - all have wrecked havoc to our patience and wrongly trained our mind to expect instant change, instant success, instant gratification and set us to hopelessly unrealistic expectations.

So be aware.
Try to assess yourself and lower down all 'instant' today.

Pursue elaborate and detailed studies, careful considerations, closer and deeper relations, long term goals, total cure and big strategic moves to the life you want to build.

Have patience and pursue depth, elaboration and perfection today.

Cultivate PATIENCE AS YOUR STRONGEST VIRTUE.
