July

July
The rain clouds,
Bring relief,
To the lands,
Thirsty and dry;
It's July.

Nature seems to ask not
When, what, who, where,
And why:
Some places flood,
In July,
Some are too parched,
Still very dry.

Clouds and life,
Both are so random,
Dear July,
Please put everything,
Back in tandem.

Find joy today

Joy is in fleeting moments
Connect with Nature,
Find joy
In clouds taking
On shapes,moving, changing.

Find dance
In leaves and flowers swaying.

Find tunes and songs,
In birds chirping
And streams gurgling
And the breeze whooshing.

Find joy.
Sigh out worry,
Breathe in joy.

Have a day filled
With joyful moments.
Whatever bothers you, just let it go…As Maya Angelou says,’Joy is a freedom. It helps a person to find his/her own liberation.

The Sun Poem

Aspire and explore like the kite!
As the Sun
In all its glory
Outshines, radiates
And lights up
All our Earth,
May you feel its warmth
And realise your potent
To its fullest,
Shine your brightest!

May you move
With the times
Like the Sun:
March across
The horizon,
Skyward,
Forward.

May you choose
To smile and keep
Your sunny side up!
HAPPY MAKAR SANKRANTI!

Your time, your day

Do today what your heart always desired…today is just for YOU.
Your day
Your time
Don't waste it
Away, away, away,

Be happy,
Say happy,
Do happy.

Life's happening,
With it, just
Swing and sway,
It's your time,
Your day.

Do what
You denied
For yourself
Yesterday;
You said 'later'
Your vague wish,
Make it true,
Make it come
Your way!

Don't leave it
Until later,
Into a future 'someday',
You said 'tomorrow',
Your 'Tomorrow'
Has come today,
Well have it your way,
Make today your day!
Time flies.

Colours of Fall

The charisma of colours
The palette's overtures
Leaf-falling reminders
Nature's gestures
All welcomes
End in departures.

I have breathed
Since
47 13th Octobers,
Who knows,
Maybe ordained
A few 'mores',
To accomplish
A few endeavours
And complete
A lot more chores.

Here's October
With 31 days galore,
Maple leaf carpets
Welcoming 2021's
Last quarter.

Collecting life in moments

Hinglish nursery rhyme for 3-4 year olds.

Baarish aayaa
Dham dham dham,
Paani mein khelu
Mai chhum chhum chhum
Mamma banaaye
Pakode yum yum yum
Rain please
Come, come, come
To the puddle
I run, run, run.
Taking my new chhatri
To school is fun, fun, fun.
