Good morning

Wear dimples of grace and gratitude in your heart, and beauty will peep out of your smile.
May all go well today.
May troubles melt away.

Wish you a bounce
In your step,
Happy and childlike,
May your heart sway.

May the day be simple
Make you just smile,
And show your dimple.
There are miles and miles of smiles just because of your smile.

Uncertainty is okay

Wait…
Uncertainty:
It is a gap,
A blur,
The distance,
Between the answer,
And its question.

It is the time
When we have to sit back,
Not knowing,
What's next in line,
Feeling fear and lack.
Its best to wait,
And let the universe,
Gather its intelligence,
And put the best stuff,
Together for us.

Uncertainty is quite
An humbling experience.
It makes us patient,
And lean on faith,
And seek divine guidance.

Just breathe.
Just be.
May the universe conspire,
And may you wait out;
For those who wait patiently,
Also serve.

Accept uncertainty,
Let life unfold.
In the face of uncertainty,
Be stoic, be bold.

Migrant

Smile more
The winged explorer,
The sky-migrant,
The global glider
The borderless flyer
The bird
Tell me,
Do you look back
To your first nest,
To your first branch,
To your first tree?
Do you only fly onward,
Do you only move forward,
Never glance backward,
Never sigh,
Just fly high?

Me too, a migrant,
Between cities,
Between tongues,
Between thoughts,
Between my origin
And final destination,
Here and now, on earth,
Only pursuing
Peace is worth,
I perch for a while,
I just have one lifetime,
So, I search for peace,
From mile to mile,
And ultimately realise
Peace itself perches
In my heart and my smile.

Peace is within.

Topsy

Not a great morning, I say, but do what you can and just pray.
Ces`t la vie!
The world is at times
A bit topsy, a lot turvy,
For you or me
Or her or him,
The morning may seem,
A bit like
Coffee gone cold,
A bit like
A slightly burnt cookie,
That too without cream.

Your mood may seem low,
The sun may glare
And pale your glow,
Life may bring you,
Blow after blow.

If this be such a day,
I wish good luck
Comes your way,
Hope all the odds
You do overcome,
And find solutions,
Where there seemed none.
You’ll get there…be back in control soon! This too shall pass.

The Art of Leaving

The Art of Leaving all that which is detrimental to our physical, mental, emotional health is a PERSONAL CHOICE.
Leave it.

Detox.

The computer screen,

The ice cream,

The fried chips routine.

Leave it.

Detox.

The virtual game.

The fast food Ramen.

Leave it.

Detox.

Life is not indoors

On a screen-an idiot box.

Choose un-virtual

Real activities, detox!

Choose

The Art of Leaving

To begin

The Art of Living.
Choose outdoors!

So what now?

Let's say,
What you did dream,
What you did chase,
Was a slip between
The cup and the lip.

You may sulk, scream
Pine for what is not,
Won't let it just go,
Oscillate to and fro-
Pendulum-like, moving
Without progressing.

As you observe,
Surely you know,
Back and forth,
Forth and back,
Ask your self,
What in this life
Do you really lack?
Gallery

Who are you?

Be clear. To fly high, the mind, like the sky, ought to be clear.
What are you?
You are your mind,
You heart, body, soul.

You are the ‘are’
Not yet the ‘were’.

So you are:
The present,
The breathing 'you'.

You are the time you have left with you.

So when you ‘do’ something,
With your body, mind, heart and soul,
You actually give yourself whole.

To what?
That you decide.
How you dedicate your life.
Your focus,
Your time here,
You either 'spend'
or you 'devote'.

For what use,
What purpose,
You choose.

Have a leisurely weekend!

The power of leisure,
The luxury of time free,

Fill it with pleasure.
Enjoy it to full measure!

Rest, read,dance,sing,
Or play musical notes,

With self be content
Or get folks together.

The power of leisure
The luxury of time free,

Fill it with pleasure.
Enjoy it to full measure!

Pursue art or craft,
That you find dear,

Or get into sports gear
Or walk, explore Nature.

The power of leisure
The luxury of time free,

Fill it with pleasure.
Enjoy it to full measure!

Spread fun and cheer,
Refresh and respire,

Or sleep deep and deeper,
Let the mind declutter,

The power of leisure
The luxury of time free,

Fill it with pleasure.
Enjoy it to full measure!

Choose what brings
Peace and adds cheer,

Regain your energy,
The weekend is here!

The power of leisure
The luxury of time free,

Fill it with pleasure.
Enjoy it to full measure!
Enjoy your day!

When you laugh

Laughter beautifies you!
When you laugh,
Your heart sings,
Your laughter sounds
Like a bell that rings,
Your soul sighs
And your mind heals,
How light it feels!

Like a ray,
You spread joy
Mile to mile,
When you smile😊.

Smile and laugh more,
Increase your
Joy score,
Hope you aren't being
A grumpy bore!
Just laugh it off, whatever it is. Choose your battles wisely; let go the rest.

Wishing you a super rich day!

Smile wider!
Smile wider.
Grin broader.
Chuckle louder.
Laugh longer
Beam brighter.

May you be blessed and showered with these riches today!
Grow rich in joy!

Find joy today

Joy is in fleeting moments
Connect with Nature,
Find joy
In clouds taking
On shapes,moving, changing.

Find dance
In leaves and flowers swaying.

Find tunes and songs,
In birds chirping
And streams gurgling
And the breeze whooshing.

Find joy.
Sigh out worry,
Breathe in joy.

Have a day filled
With joyful moments.
Whatever bothers you, just let it go…As Maya Angelou says,’Joy is a freedom. It helps a person to find his/her own liberation.

As the day unwraps

As the day unwraps
Its seconds
Its minutes
And its hours,

May it contain
Plenty of gifts
A wealth of laughter,
Some ideas that sparkle.

May it contain
No ill will,
May all sick heal.

Have a day of riches
And fulfilled wishes.
Unwrap…

A quiet day

Life is simple
Wish you a quiet day,
May you have the leisure
And the sheer pleasure
To watch how the petals
In the breeze sway.

Wish you a creative day,
And a quiet moment
To think out of the box,
Beyond the usual,
And the ordinary way.

Wish you a smooth day,
Effortless, un-tiring,
Peaceful and easy,
In each and every way.

Wish you a quiet, creative, smooth and peaceful day.

Life is smooth!

On this day

Good Morning
Make peace,
Decide to deliver
The promise.

With ease,
Say what matters,
Let go grudges,
Just release.

Choose to cherish
The choice of ease
The choice of peace
The choice of release
Choose.
Have an easy day.
Good Morning.
Choose well.

Brought nothing, lost nothing

Born empty handed,

Leave empty-handed.

Live with love and light.
When here we landed,
Weren't you and me,
Both born empty-handed?

Then let's live life,
Without hate and strife,
Unassuming and light,
Choosing love:
Not might over right,
Decide none to exploit.

Lets feel from
The depths of our heart,
And reach great heights
Through our open,
Un-burdened, mind,
Always to ourself remind:
To keep our thoughts,
Words and deeds aligned.

In your presence,
In your vibes,
Let each creature,
Great and small,
Of all colours,
Of features all,
Feel you are harmless,
Listen to your heart's
Compassionate call.
Make compassion your passion.

Disentangle

From little to more,
We are entangled
In daily life
Our mind and heart
Tired and mangled.

Take a deep breath,
Now with force exhale,
And let it all go,
Repeat again and again,
Till you know
The heaviness is gone,
You don't feel
Overwhelmed and low.

To yourself
Just remind,
To:
Disentangle,
Distance,
Detach.
You can't always
Yourself grind,
Free yourself
From burdens,
From 'Musts'
And 'Shoulds'
Do not your mind,
So strictly bind.

Life takes care
Of itself,
There are times
To put in every effort,
To be in the front,
And at times,
It's your moment,
To let go,
With grace bow,
To hold back,
Withdraw and rest,
And pray for the best.
This too shall pass

Colours of Fall

The charisma of colours
The palette's overtures
Leaf-falling reminders
Nature's gestures
All welcomes
End in departures.

I have breathed
Since
47 13th Octobers,
Who knows,
Maybe ordained
A few 'mores',
To accomplish
A few endeavours
And complete
A lot more chores.

Here's October
With 31 days galore,
Maple leaf carpets
Welcoming 2021's
Last quarter.

Collecting life in moments

A day full of possibilities

Through small actions
Just think each hour,
Within your power,
What can you do?

You've 7,200 minutes
Plant seeds
Of flowering trees
Just for minutes 15
To find one morning,
Smiling flowers 16!

Left with 7185 minutes
Imagine how much life
You can fill in these!

Have a positively action-filled
And happening day.

May you choose to:
Nourish, accomplish,
and flourish!
Take care.

Being just me

I choose, I decide
No I didn't prioritize
Folding clothes
Cooking
House keeping.

I wrote verses.
My apologies
For fresh fruit,
Salad meals
And just washed
Unfolded, unironed
Clothes.

I deliberated
Over lyrics,
Rhythm, rhymes
And word tricks.

To sweetly suggest
Being a woman
I can multi-task
Comes with a risk:

I need my rest,
My 'me-time',
To hum my rhyme.

What I can,
What I will,
What I won't
I decide,
You don't.
Me-time is MINE

Eyes

Your eyes reveal

Kindness
Sadness
Madness

Laughter
And
Glitter

Or

Bitter
And
Anger

Keenness
Meanness
Curiosness

Boredom
Or just dumb,

Desire or dream,

Or shielding shrewd
And outright rude,

A guilt sheer
Or fear clear?

Truth sneaks out
From your eyes
And
Reveals both
Your rise, your fall,
Gives a glimpse
Of your soul.

Eyes know your 'all',
Your wounds and wisdom,
Your greed, your glare,
They reflect it all.

What stories silent,
Sealed lips hide,
Your eyes
Whisper them all.
When your lips rest
your eyes work best

Watch “‘The tabula rasa state of mind'” on YouTube

Reflect calmly to find your balance

Meditate to find
The balance
Be mindful
Of how you feel
Keep your mind
Very still.

Meditate to de-stress,
To worries release,
To realign,
Receive peace
And reconnect
With the Divine.

Pause. Ponder. Lift yourself higher.

Getting older is inevitable. But growing older is slightly different, because when you grow older, you don’t lose the sense of humor, the ability to wonder, feel the curiosity and the sense of enthusiasm as well as the sense of marvel. Are you growing older or getting old? It is a decision. Your decision. Isn’t it?

Not so instant!

This O levels exam
Isn't as instant
As a soup sachet
Of Maggi we heat
& blend,
Not as instant,
As we click an icon
In a mili-second
On WhatsApp to 'send'.

Yes,study long hours
For coming weeks,
Read and revise,
recall and repeat,
And I am impressed
As you prepare daily,
With focus indeed.

Do practice and write,
Sometimes use a mind-map,
Other times,
You may memorise
These last few weeks,
I am relieved to see
The essence of effort
You do realise!

Then follows a break,
And results we get
Hopefully its mostly Grades 'B' or 'A'
And we celebrate.

Education is
Life-long learning,
You know, right?
Not as easy
or as instant
as an FB 'like'.

But dedicated work
With a good grade
You'll carry
With such pride,
All your life,
All your life!
