When for no reason

Sometimes for no obvious   
Or explicable reason,
You may just feel
Your heart is heavier,
Your mood is low,
Your reflexes are slow.

Usually around this time,
Same day, same time,
In the past,
You have faced,
A devastating setback.

The heart has not forgotten,
The mind has not overcome,
But you have moved on.

At such moments,
It helps to do Pranayam.
Meditate.
Be gentle with yourself.
Do some new artwork.
Read a new poem.
Smell the flowers.
Direct your attention
To chanting or prayers
And observe meditation.

Reward yourself
With care and compassion.
Instead of avoiding
The feeling, be with it.
Accept it.
Improve on self-preservation
And self-care.

This too shall pass.
Hope you have a good life ahead.

The winged explorer,

Me too, a migrant,

I perch for a while,

Decide!

Dualities of Life

In trying times, try trying harder.You can do it.
When you are in a somber mood, meditate on these words. Just sit thinking of the unexpected in life that throws us out of gear. In your thoughts,  reflect on how often we are imbalanced in our understanding of  the dualities of life. We seem to only want the good, the happy, the wellness/the healthy, the easy/ the comfortable, the best. Naturally. We must. That is absolutely normal and a must.
But when the co-existing dualities occur- the bad, the sad, the illnesses,the difficult times, the challenges, the disturbing scenarios, the unexpected: are you somewhat upset or totally upset? Are you unwilling to accept or just unprepared? Do you wish the bad times just go away?
But the dualities are there-they are just there.NO ESCAPE. The other side of the coin is just THERE.
Finding your equanimity and balance helps, and accepting what you cannot change and changing what you can, is within your means as you are bestowed with the powers language and discretion: our two empowering tools as humans.
So, go with the flow. Be patient in hard times, and use your good times to become better, with constant self-improvisation.

From little to more,
We are entangled
In daily life
Our mind and heart
Tired and mangled.

Take a deep breath,

To put in every effort,

And pray for the best.

Being just me

I choose, I decide
No I didn't prioritize 
Folding clothes
Cooking
House keeping.

I wrote verses.
My apologies
For fresh fruit,
Salad meals
And just washed
Unfolded, unironed
Clothes.

I deliberated
Over lyrics,
Rhythm, rhymes
And word tricks.

To sweetly suggest
Being a woman
I can multi-task
Comes with a risk:

I need my rest,
My 'me-time',
To hum my rhyme.

What I can,
What I will,
What I won't
I decide,
You don't.
Me-time is MINE

Anticipation

Problems are wrapped solutions. Unwrap and solve!
Step out 

With a feeling

Of anticipation.

Do resolve

To learn from

Both experiences,

Bitter and sweet,

The life lesson:

Duality is the norm,

And co-existence is

To go with the flow,

Or choose to decide

Your own journey,

You must row.

Continually emerge

Of true dynamism

Remember wrapped inside

the nagging problem,

Draw the line.

Life is not about just having. Life is more about living. Life is more about experiencing rather than accumulating. Money is no doubt very essential for enabling empowerment. There are no two things about it. But to live less in order to earn more and just have more at the cost of too much stress and no fun is where we need to truly reflect and slow down on the chase, if we have inadvertently fallen into it in the first place. Life is more when you follow your heart with your mind open and in control. Decide where to draw the line. Its your life and your time on the planet is your greatest gift to live it fully and fulfillingly. Balance is the key. But do not wait too long to do what you really feel like. Do not keep pushing away your heart’s desires too far, too long. Go live well and live more💝.
