Round the corner

You may feel low,

You may have had a blow,

But dwell in hope,

You'll surely cope,

Just round the corner,

There's dawn again and light,

There's sweet delight.

Diwali's the highlight.

Declutter and decorate,

Goodness let's opt for

Each and everyday,

Kindness let's celebrate.

In each and every way.

Diwali is a festival

Of lighting diyas,

To drive away darkness,

Not just of the Amaavas,

But also the despair

And focus on inspiring

Others and ourself,

Spread love and light,

Share wisdom, show care.

Have a better day than yesterday!

Choose better.
Choose well.

Choose
Silence not arguing.
Choose
Hope not worrying.
Choose
Activities not idling.
Choose
Learning not lazing.

Choose better,
Right now,
Not later!

Choose better today

Kanhaa Poem

The Kanhaa Poem: 1
By Amita J Sanghavi.
19/8/2022.

Krishna, krishna!

Heading straight

To the Haveli,

We stop at the phoolwala

And his tokri,

Our steps halt

As we bend,

Flowers to the soul,

Bliss lend:

The moment

Of spotting fresh blooms,

Mogra and Prajakta,

Bringing a bright glow

On our face and our heart,

We bend to touch the petals,

And the softness

In the Marigold garlands,

How we love to hold!

And now hurry to visit

Krishna in the temple,

Inhaling incense,

Lotus scented agarbatti

Lighting lamps for real,

Chanting aarti in chorus,

As we drape blooms

Around His neck,

And join our hands,

Overwhelmed

With real Darshan

In our 'ami'-filled eyes,

As our blue Kanhaa

We behold,

The maakhan chor,

And His mesmerising,

Mischievous muskaan

Forever heart-held,

Come let’s celebrate,

The birth of

Our Divine consciousness

On Krishna we focus,

Govind Hari, Gopal Hari,

We chant in chorus,

His feet,

The ultimate Sharan

For us.

When for no reason

Sometimes for no obvious
Or explicable reason,
You may just feel
Your heart is heavier,
Your mood is low,
Your reflexes are slow.

Usually around this time,
Same day, same time,
In the past,
You have faced,
A devastating setback.

The heart has not forgotten,
The mind has not overcome,
But you have moved on.

At such moments,
It helps to do Pranayam.
Meditate.
Be gentle with yourself.
Do some new artwork.
Read a new poem.
Smell the flowers.
Direct your attention
To chanting or prayers
And observe meditation.

Reward yourself
With care and compassion.
Instead of avoiding
The feeling, be with it.
Accept it.
Improve on self-preservation
And self-care.

This too shall pass.
Hope you have a good life ahead.
Nature helps healing, so does Silence

What matters.

Choose to regain strength and recover. Life is good.
Doesn't matter
How yesterdays were.
Or tomorrows will be.

Keeping well now-
Just 'now' matters.

The effort to gather
Yourself once more,
Rise to healing,
Like never before.

Remember:
No half death,
No half breath,
No life,
Without strife.

To renew effort,
Be determined,
Do not withdraw,
Live each moment well,
In negativity,
Please don't dwell.

Take a deep breath,
Choose wellness,
Choose strength,
And choose health.
In this moment,
Live fully well.
In ilness, choose having mental strength.

I’m not sure

😇
I'm not sure
What love is,
But I know
Kindness is pure.
In the end,
What changes the story,
What matters totally,
Is how well you treat
The one you claim to love
In thought, word & deed.
Love without integrity is no love

This too shall heal

However lost and hurt you feel, remember impermanence.
The fact of impermanence

We ought to hold

Onto closely,

Especially awarefully,

Consciously, every day.

Impermanence in life

Does remind us

That injuries

of the heart,

body and mind

Do not hurt forever.

This new injury

Feels heavy right now,

Unbearable somehow,

But its not permanent,

Soon it will heal.

Always remember

We are all temporary,

What happens to us

Does end, does pass,

And so shall we.
Each experience, each moment is Fleeting…
