Dear June,

June, the summer holiday month
Dear June,

A lot in the world,
We find, is out of tune.

As you are coming soon,
May I remind you,
To use all your powers,
To bring relief showers.

Relief from war,
Relief from hate,
Relief from pain.

A good amount of rain,
Enough of food grain,
Please would you bring,
Energy that's new,
And fresh and healing?

Pack along,
A hopeful song,
To be sung in chorus,
Let's sing all June,
Notes in a merry tune.

Please pack all these,
And lots of good luck,
With you, as you come,
Dear June,
My dear June.
May June be cool!

Good Morning!

Connect. Create. Care.
Smile. Read. Repeat.

Recipe for your day:

Have a few fulfilling moments,
A few bonding moments,
A few quiet moments,
A few exciting moments,
A few memorable moments.

Today may all go well. Better than expected.

When you laugh

Laughter beautifies you!
When you laugh,
Your heart sings,
Your laughter sounds
Like a bell that rings,
Your soul sighs
And your mind heals,
How light it feels!

Like a ray,
You spread joy
Mile to mile,
When you smile😊.

Smile and laugh more,
Increase your
Joy score,
Hope you aren't being
A grumpy bore!
Just laugh it off, whatever it is. Choose your battles wisely; let go the rest.

Safed Jambu tree

Love apples, Safed Jambus
You stood below
Ready to catch
The jambus
I would throw.

I climbed up
Branch to branch,
Tried to pluck the jambus
You spotted and told me
To reach out
With the sticks
We tried to tie
Together by and by.

Those hidden in between
The lush green leaves,
The jumbo white jambus
Were our absolute treat!

A fresh fruit so simple
Brought a dimple,
With your pretty smile,
As we took no while,
To munch into
A huge juicy bite
Relishing it quite.

The moment felt so right,
A venture unplanned,
Our afternoon filled
With masti and delight,
Fun in bright sunlight,
Feeling excited galore,
Plucking fruit more.

A sense of accomplishment
We felt so content,
A fun day wherein,
Our wishes fulfilled💚.

I remember so clear,
Our girlish might,
Our sheer cheer,
As you caught
The jambus white
In your palms safe,
Without a scratch,
Wow I would say,
'What a catch!'
As though we played
In a cricket match!

The fresh lingering taste
Of the safed jambu,
A tree laden with fruit,
Within its shade,
We too grew.

My dearest sister,
My naughty accomplice
In our days of childhood,
Romping and climbing
Our great exercise,
These moments of picking fruit,
In my memories I salute!

As years passed by,
We chased work,climbed
The ladder of success,
We now fondly cherish
White jambus' tree,
We so much love,
Since our days carefree!

The tree stands tall, jamoons now unplucked, just fall

Your time, your day

Do today what your heart always desired…today is just for YOU.
Your day
Your time
Don't waste it
Away, away, away,

Be happy,
Say happy,
Do happy.

Life's happening,
With it, just
Swing and sway,
It's your time,
Your day.

Do what
You denied
For yourself
Yesterday;
You said 'later'
Your vague wish,
Make it true,
Make it come
Your way!

Don't leave it
Until later,
Into a future 'someday',
You said 'tomorrow',
Your 'Tomorrow'
Has come today,
Well have it your way,
Make today your day!
Time flies.

A morning wish

Have a breezy easy day😇
Temporal time ticks,
We move, as it kicks.

Breeze in the hair,
We pick a warm wear.

Neither time,
Nor breeze,
Do we see,
But one shows us,
Our lifetime limit,
The other shows us,
What's it to be free.

Use temporal time well,
But use leisure better.

Enjoy the breeze,
The outdoors and
The good weather.

May there be a zing,
Right under your wing,
As you follow dreams,
And execute duties,
With a determined Will.

Wish you a day,
Of accomplishments,
Full of fine vibes.
Breezy moments of life

Enter November!

Are you shawl-ready?
The month eleventh,
Cool in the desert,
Cold elsewhere,
Freezing minus ten,
Speeding to year-end.

Glance back perhaps
The time did lapse,
Memories we made,
Some of laughters
Some of regrets.

We lost some,
We found some,
People gone,
People come.

Thanksgiving month,
Gratitude to hold,
Tomorrows to behold,
With fervour,
Enter November,
Let's thank all those,
We forgot to remember.

Gratitude is the best attitude

Brought nothing, lost nothing

Born empty handed,

Leave empty-handed.

Live with love and light.
When here we landed,
Weren't you and me,
Both born empty-handed?

Then let's live life,
Without hate and strife,
Unassuming and light,
Choosing love:
Not might over right,
Decide none to exploit.

Lets feel from
The depths of our heart,
And reach great heights
Through our open,
Un-burdened, mind,
Always to ourself remind:
To keep our thoughts,
Words and deeds aligned.

In your presence,
In your vibes,
Let each creature,
Great and small,
Of all colours,
Of features all,
Feel you are harmless,
Listen to your heart's
Compassionate call.
Make compassion your passion.

Dualities of Life

In trying times, try trying harder. You can do it.
When you are in a somber mood, meditate on these words. Just sit thinking of the unexpected in life that throws us out of gear. In your thoughts, reflect on how often we are imbalanced in our understanding of the dualities of life. We seem to only want the good, the happy, the wellness/the healthy, the easy/ the comfortable, the best. Naturally. We must. That is absolutely normal and a must.
But when the co-existing dualities occur- the bad, the sad, the illnesses, the difficult times, the challenges, the disturbing scenarios, the unexpected: are you somewhat upset or totally upset? Are you unwilling to accept or just unprepared? Do you wish the bad times just go away?
But the dualities are there-they are just there.NO ESCAPE. The other side of the coin is just THERE.
Finding your equanimity and balance helps, and accepting what you cannot change and changing what you can, is within your means as you are bestowed with the powers language and discretion: our two empowering tools as humans.
So, go with the flow. Be patient in hard times, and use your good times to become better, with constant self-improvisation.

You can choose. You can do it.
Self improvise!

Good Morning

Choose and align your thoughts.
The day has dawned

Once more reflect
On your intent,
If you want to feel
Light and content.

Match intent
With values high,
Align them with words
And realise them
In efforts and deeds.

Once more reflect
On your intent,
If you want to feel
Light and content.

Once more feel
The quality
Of the words
On your tongue.
Taste their truth,
Savour their flavour.
Some don't need
To be voiced
Right away;
Some never at all-
Use discretion for all.

Let negative thoughts
Perch and fly away
Like the birds,
Don't nestle them
Or turn them to words.

Listen to a prayer,
Keep your mind clear
Focused and well- lit,
With hope and effort.

Make the day brighter,
The mind to the Self
Cannot be an enemy
Rather make it
Freer, friendlier,
Focused, calm, brighter,
Like the sky in summer.

Good Morning, good day!

Don’t feel like

If you don't feel like
Starting the day,
Your chores and duties
Confuse and overwhelm you,
The sigh is longer
And heavier than usual,
Then sip your coffee slower,
Remind yourself,
'I choose to be braver'
Breathe and feel
The air expelled,
Close your eyes
And imagine
The clouds moving,
The day too
Will glide through.

You will lose some,
Win one or two,
Just remind yourself,
I'll try better,
Worries I surrender.

A day isn't too long,
If things go wrong
I will set them right,
Effort and acumen,
And grace and grit
To me belong,
To me belong.

MAKE THE DAY GOOD.
You can choose.

In between silences

Sheer poetry
In between silences,
A few words
Fly in,
Birds from faraway
Skies of ideas,
Carrying a new story,
In sheer poetry.

I walk

Footprints on the sands of Time
I walk.

Sometimes,
I walk away
From an uninvited
Walk-in visiting memory,

Sometimes,
I walk
To reach nowhere,
But to walk away
From the need
To reach
Somewhere.

Sometimes I walk
Away from expectations
Unreasonable, stifling.

I walk
Miles and miles.

Sometimes I walk
To sort out
My own journey,
Meet my thoughts halfway,
Question myself,
How happy was I
To see them again?

Which thought
Would I like,
To accompany
As I walk my path
Of moving, temporary,
 Ever-changing life?

'Who' do I
Hold hands with,
As I walk free?

COME, SEPTEMBER!

COME, SEPTEMBER
Bring some melody
Lessen the cacophony
Come,September,
Heal the ailing
Brighten the paling.

String hearts together,
Make tempers milder,
Come,September,
Let's hear melodies,
Begin soothing
Heavy, hurtful memories.

Come, September,
Remind us our cheer
And patience
And put our lives
Back in forward gear.

Forward is the way

Compassion

May all choose Compassion
Halt a moment,
Stop! Save a child,
Listen to the lament,
Life for love is meant,
Rise above discontent,
Revise your intent,
And choose to be,
The One to help
To nurture and care,
And let each of us
To the 'other'
Be truly'God-sent'.

The tabula rasa state of mind

I love my mind,

In the 'tabula rasa'

state.

I like it:

My 're-energise'

phase,

From 'doing' to just

'being'.

I reflect, read more.

I love my mind,

Uncrowded, on 'rewind'

I refill the soul,

the heart, the mind.

Reading other's voices

and fresh new words,

I imagine me

Fly high

Like a bird,

To a new world.

It is essential

To be vacant,

A pre requisite

To evolve my Self

And redefine my Voice.

Pause. Ponder. Lift yourself higher.

Getting older is inevitable. But growing older is slightly different, because when you grow older, you don’t lose the sense of humor, the ability to wonder, feel the curiosity and the sense of enthusiasm as well as the sense of marvel. Are you growing older or getting old? It is a decision. Your decision. Isn’t it?
